If you want to use Wi-Fi in OS X, your laptop should have an ‘Atheros’ Wi-Fi module. Finally, there’s one more thing that you need to check. So if you are an existing ProBook owner, see if your machine is compatible or not. The reason is simple, Sandy Bridge processors have built-in graphics support, which means you can get full graphics acceleration (QE/CI) in Mac OS X by slightly tricking it, and you won’t need a dedicated graphics card. Apart from that, it has to be a Sandy Bridge processor. As you might’ve read in the hackintoshing basics post, it’s all about the motherboard, and the HP ProBook seems to have a hackintoshable motherboard.
